Life after Covid - do we really have to live with long hauler syndrome?

It seems that the "light at the end of the tunnel" waxes and wanes. We have bursts of freedom and then we contract in and tighten our circle. I am just as tired of all of it as you.

There are some of us whose dance with Covid has left a lingering mark. Grief, anxiety, depression, isolation, learning loss, have continuing visible and invisible effects. Then there are those left with the very physical and still unseen ramifications of long hauler syndrome.

I have been working with many on their post-covid recovery providing acupuncture, herbs, nutritional and exercise support. Myself and many others in the healing community are witnessing an increase in patients suffering with significant "brain fog" and other cognitive impairments, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (or POTS), chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, difficulty breathing, insomnia, dysautonomia, etc.

I'm not going to sugar-coat it, there isn't an automatic fix BUT Chinese medicine is definitely offering significant improvement to many patients whose life has taken an unexpected turn. My goal as an acupuncturist and human in this collective experience is to offer a reprieve from the grind of chronic pain and fatigue, to help improve my patients' quality of life, and to support my patients "getting their life back" with all the tools in my box.
